The rock dwellings, which can be found mainly in the Šurda alley, date from the 18th to the 20th centuries. Some are still used for living, others serve as wine cellars or farm premises.
The exhibition of folk housing, which is located in a house from 1932 and in the back of its yard in rooms cut into the tuff rock, documents the peculiar way of living in this region. Among the interesting exhibits of this exposition are stone tools, folk furniture, pottery, kitchen inventory. The exposition of folk housing is an extended exposition of the Tekovský Museum in Levice.
Yard no. 142 received the international award for the rescue and restoration of the Europa Nostra architectural monument in 1993.
