The surroundings of the Pustoúlanské ponds also offer hiking and cycling routes that allow visitors to discover the beauty of nature. Kayaking and rowing are available for water sports enthusiasts. Ponds are also important to the local ecosystem as they serve as a habitat for many species of plants and animals. All in all, the Pustoúlanské ponds in Pustý Úľany are an important place for rest, recreational activities and nature conservation. They form a harmonious part of the landscape zone and bring peace and beauty to this region.
More than 2.86% of the total area of the village is made up of water bodies covering 70.3 ha. villages. The water bodies consist of a system of six ponds and a network of four streams and irrigation canals. Three ponds are used for fish farming, the water bodies are managed by private persons and the Slovak Fisheries Association. Water flows are managed by the Váhu Basin.
