Pezinok is an old wine-growing town protected by the rounded slopes of the Little Carpathians, which have been silent companions of its rich history since time immemorial. The proximity of the capital Bratislava, easy access by road and rail, the continuing tradition of viticulture and winemaking, as well as specific gastronomy are an increasing attraction for tourists and everyday visitors to the city.

Viticulture and viticulture have been determining the lifestyle of a large part of the population for years. In addition to the already defunct gold mining, Pezinok is known for its still prosperous brick production and the production of utility and artistic ceramics derived from it.
The economic profile of the city is completed by construction production, engineering, trade and small craft production. A great gift given to the city of the Carpathians is the area of winter sports on the Baba hill and in summer hiking on marked hiking trails. All urban forests are part of the protected landscape area of the Little Carpathians. Beech-oak stands predominate in them.

Significant events take place regularly on the city grounds; many of them are also of international importance. Whether it's Vintage, Ceramic Markets, Open Beer Days, Pezinsky Permoník, cultural festivals, motoring and sports competitions (Pezinok Tassel - in dance, Malokarpatský Tassel - in parkour).

There is a particularly strong art community in the city - well-known artists Alexander Ilečko, Igor Piačka, writer Július Balco live and work here.
Pezinok wines are also regularly returned from competitions with laurels - whether from Pezinok's traditional wine markets or international ones (Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia, Hungary). Among them are the champions of such prestigious competitions as Vinoforum or Vino Italia.

Pezinok is home to the world champion in kickboxing (semi-contact), the junior European champion in judo, multiple national champions in basketball, volleyball, armwrestling, orienteering and the best Slovak mountain biker and European champion in downhill mountain biking Filip Polec.
