The village of Suchohrad

Suchohrad is a village in the very west of Záhorie, right next to the westernmost village of Slovakia, Záhorská Ves. It is a relatively small village, with a handful of inhabitants, which currently represents 610 souls.

Our village, as we call it, covers an area of 1540.66 ha. It is also quite a nice row of houses, a piece of field surrounded by meadows, wetlands, floodplain, pine and agate forests. We have really beautiful nature here, just look out the window. The entire cadastre of the village is located in the Záhorie Protected Landscape Area (Protected Landscape Area). In addition, we also have 4 areas of European importance and 2 nature reserves.

We are definitely not such a small village. We have a kindergarten, a primary school and a bunch of children, a library with books, a computer room with computers (for children). Also the House of Culture, where you can celebrate what you like, e.g. Mother's Day, Children's Day, St. Nicholas, etc. We also have the Municipal Office, if you need to know something, they will tell you or go to a shop or tavern and you know more. We slowly have 3 taverns here, they will recognize non-payers in each. Sports can be enjoyed on the football field and children's playground, which is extended by a football (tennis) field and a volleyball field. It can be found religiously in the Church of Christ the King, which is visited regularly, especially on Sundays. And when someone ends up, we also have a cemetery with a beautiful view of the surroundings. Information activities are also represented by Suchohradské novinky, the first test issue has already been published. Let's face it, not the last one.

Suchohrad is a village where crows turn. It can't be otherwise, buses are also turning here. But they come here at least quite often, from Malaciek and from Bratislava. Quite close, in Záhorská Ves the railway connection starts, by local train and there is also a company to neighboring Austria. It should be replaced by a bridge in the near future.
Suchohrad has a well-divided division of the village into parts of the village - a village, apartment buildings and mothers with the official name Karlov Dvor. People live here in beautiful and less beautiful family houses, which they constantly beautify in the interest of competition. In addition to them, we also have apartment buildings, after our apartment buildings. 5 older pieces are located in the part aptly called Bytovky and in the village the village built 2 new, visually quite successful pieces. The possibility of other building plots is also offered (zoning plan of the municipality). In addition to permanent residents, quite a few cottagers come here. And I'm not surprised, it's nice here.
