The village lies at an altitude of 146 meters, 40 km from Bratislava in the district of Pezinok, near Trnava on the border of the Bratislava region. The district town of Pezinok is about 18 km away. As of 31 December 2016, 999 inhabitants were registered for permanent residence in the municipality.

The village lies at an altitude of 146 meters, 40 km from Bratislava in the district of Pezinok, near Trnava on the border of the Bratislava region. The district town of Pezinok is about 18 km away. As of 31 December 2016, 999 inhabitants were registered for permanent residence in the municipality.

In the village there is a renovated kindergarten and elementary school 1-4. vintage church 2 food. In the neighboring villages of Budmerice and Cífer there are complete civic amenities, including doctors. Church of St. Márie Magdalény belongs to the parish office of Budmerice. In the village there is a 4.3 km long educational trail leading along the Gidra stream, which is equipped with information boards and benches, planted with fruit and ornamental trees.

The village is also known for its football tradition, which began in 1937. There is also a civic hockey association, which also makes several tournaments in the village, the Unity Pensioners Club, which organizes various cultural events and meetings, the civic association Zelený Jablonec is engaged in activities related to with direct environmental protection. Another association in the village is the Hunting Association Gidra Jablonec, which is in charge of the entire area. For the municipality, they perform several activities such as planting trees (so far about 1800 pieces), sponsorship contributions for municipal events in the form of game, etc. There is also an association of Vinárs in the village, which annually organizes the Malokarpatska wine route and also participates in organizing cultural and social events of the village. There is also a football team of old gentlemen in the village, who organize a traditional football tournament. In the winter months, there is a children's club and a club for mothers with children, where they can spend their free time.

Every year, a number of events are held in the village. These include Goulash Cooking Contest, Cabbage, Carnival Masks March, Bass Burial, May Building, Mother's Day Celebrations, Children's Welcome, International Children's Day, Feasts and Dance Entertainment, Feast Friendly Football Match, Retired Sessions - Respect for the Elderly, Exhibition of Fruits and Vegetables, Veterans Show, St. Nicholas, Christmas Markets, Backpackers New Year's Eve, New Year's Eve Walk and the Mayor's Ball.
