The first written mention of the Bacúch area dates back to 1274. The area is mentioned as Silva Wazuch, which means Bacúch Forest. The first inhabitants of the village were miners, loggers and coal miners. Iron, copper, gold and silver were mined here. In the middle of the 19th century, the polyhistor also contributed to the cultural and social upliftment of the village
Gustáv Kazimír Zechenter Laskomerský. He was accompanied by the important Czech writer Božena Němcová. Bacuch is known especially for the mineral spring, which bears the name of this representative of Czechoslovak reciprocity. In the wider area and local, the spring is known as "sour". Near the spring are the stone walls of the waterworks Tajch. At present, Bacuch has about 1,000 inhabitants. It boasts a rich history, but also a cultural history,
human potential and a strong relationship with folk or cultural traditions. Natural conditions predetermine the village and its surroundings for the development of sports and tourist activities.
