The village of Kolárovice lies in the Podjavornícká ravine in the valley of the Kolárovický brook, 9 km northwest of Bytča at an altitude of 390 m (center). The cadastral area has an area of 27.5 km2 and has a population of approximately 1,833. The first written record of the village is a document from 1312, by which the castellan of the Košeca castle Lorand granted Henrik the right to establish the village of Henrici villa - Henrik's village (Kolárovice).
