The first written mention of the territory of the villages of Baďan and Klastava is from 1245, in which it is first mentioned as a settlement under the name Villa Bagun. The village of Baďan and the then independent village of Klastava merged in 1971.
The natural conditions of both cadastral areas, as well as the good location of municipalities, create suitable conditions for the development of tourism, such as tourism in particular. The cadastre of the village of Klastava is crossed by the educational trail "In the footsteps of ancestors", about 11 km long, which represents about 5 hours of travel. The nature trail is undemanding, passable by bike and on foot. Another attractive attraction for hikers are the rare cellars carved into tuff rocks, which served as granaries during the Turkish invasions. They are located "na Háji" in the cadastre of Klastava. In the cadastre of the village Baďan there is no need to go around a unique cultural monument - Ev. and the church (Romanesque rotunda), situated on a hill, on the northern edge of the village Baďan or a folk room in the central part of the village.
The village organizes various cultural and sporting events almost all year round. We start the cultural season with the "bustling" Baďanský ball. For the citizens of the village, we organize a pleasant sitting with a program and a small feast on various occasions - the construction of May, Mother's Day, a meeting with jubilees, a month of respect for the elderly, a meeting with St. Nicholas. A popular event is the Furman Race. They are held every year on the first weekend of June. It is a competition of draft horses and their furmans. An unusual and traditionally expected event is the Podsitnian Days of Abundance. It is organized in cooperation with OZ Mikroregión Južné Sitno. The essence of the event is a demonstration of the traditional culture and local customs of our ancestors. The event has already reached a number of visitors who like to come back to us every year. In addition to the program, they were especially surprised by the generosity, cordiality and hospitality of the inhabitants of the municipalities of the South Sitno micro-region. At the end of the season (usually the last Saturday in August) we organize a football match in which married men and bachelors measure their sports strength. Another interesting feature of the village is the functioning of FSk Baďančanka. It was established in 1999 at the initiative of the mayor of the village, whose effort was to create a singing ensemble that would diversify or specialize various events organized by the village. Today, the ensemble has a good response, is at a regional level and performs at various events in a wide area.
In the village there is a local grocery store - COOP JEDNOTA POTRAVINY (mixed goods), based in Žarnovica. The municipality provides for its citizens operation in the building of the municipal office - PARTNER Post Office. In the village there is a cultural house, Evangelical and a church and cemetery.
There is no significant business background in our village. There are several tradesmen in the village.
As for the association's activities, there is a hunting association in the village - PZ Bánov with its seat in Počúvadlo, Voluntary Fire Brigade of the village - DHZO Baďan, FSk Baďančanka, local Red Cross Association, local branch Matice slovenskej, Urban Land Association Baďan Urban Land Association Klastava.
