The village is located on the northern edge of the Burda Mountains and in the southern part of the Ipeľ Hills. The northern hilly part of the area consists of Young Tertiary deposits with a thick cover of loess, the southern highlands are mostly andesitic pyroclastics - it is forested with oak, hornbeam and agate forests.
