The village of Bara is located in the Potišská nížina, 29 km west of the Kráľovský Chlmec district, 5 km from the village of Borša and 27 km from the district town of Trebišov. The area of the village is 625 ha.

The village of Bara is located in the Potišská nížina, 29 km west of the Kráľovský Chlmec district, 5 km from the village of Borša and 27 km from the district town of Trebišov. The area of the village is 625 ha.

From the east side there are the forests of Hatfa, from the south side the village Borša, from the north side the vineyard M. Trňa and the western part consists of vineyards and the hill Piliš V - 264 m.
The village is spread over a very rugged terrain. The climate is warm and slightly dry with a cold winter. In 1962 it was a very hard winter - snowdrifts.

The Baranský and Boršanský streams flow through the village, which merge in the cadastral area of Borša.
