Many accidental finds and archaeological excavations in the wider vicinity of Vlčkovice prove that the whole area was relatively densely populated in prehistoric times. The Dudváž terrace was slightly elevated above the rest of the country and provided the then inhabitants with favorable living conditions, above all it was a natural protection against the frequent floods caused by the rivers Váh, Dudváh and Blava.
