It lies in the eastern part of the Danube plain in the area bordered by the rivers Danube and Váh. At the beginning of the 20th century, a farm and trade association was established here, and a dairy and credit cooperative was founded. They built a Catholic school in the village, a kindergarten and later a school of the Reformed church were added. The population was mainly engaged in agriculture, but crafts such as weaving, blacksmithing, shoemaking and trade also developed. Today, Pribeta has two schools with Slovak and Hungarian as the language of instruction, as well as two kindergartens, a health center, a pharmacy, a shopping center, a culture house, a sports hall and a football stadium. The folklore ensemble and the theater circle are active. The history of the village is illustrated by a permanent ethnographic exhibition. Interesting is a nearby locality, called Kaplnka, with protected plants such as summer oak, common woodpecker or spring heather.
