Exactly 54 steps will lead the visitor to the top of the wooden lookout tower, from where he or she is best oriented in the village and its surroundings. The classic Reformed church from 1819 immediately attracts attention. The Roman Catholic Chapel of St. Ján Nepomucký was built from the material of the church, which stood here in the first half of the fourteenth century. The nearby location Mostová is one of the areas of European importance. Several endangered plant species grow on local salt marshes. Another reservation is the Danube Cane. With a little luck, you can see the northern Pannonian vole, a remnant of the ice age, which, apart from the wetlands of the Danube region, does not live anywhere else in the world. The Danube meadows are the youngest protected area in Slovakia. Rare species of birds have their home here, such as the sea eagle, the little white-tailed deer or the purple heron. Velké Kosihy is also well known to cyclists, who like to stop in the village on wanderings through the Danubian lowlands.
