Its dominant feature is an Art Nouveau manor house with a garden, which in the past belonged to the important Pázmány family.
The village is located on Žitný ostrov thirty kilometers northwest of Komárno. Originally a Hungarian settlement, it once belonged to the ecclesiastical country. The manor house was built as a family residence by Zoltán Pázmány, whose memorial house is located in the adjacent garden. Today, there is a kindergarten in the manor. Brestovec currently has almost five hundred inhabitants. The municipality pays special attention to public greenery, parks and the municipal lake.
