Chotár Kravian was inhabited in prehistoric times, the first written mention dates from 1245. The village was long owned by the aristocratic Tardoš family, later Karvai family and other landowners. The original inhabitants were farmers, fishermen, millers, beekeepers and later also winegrowers. The dominant feature of the village is the Roman Catholic Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the first half of the 13th century, later renovated in the late Romanesque and Baroque style. Significant buildings are the mansions of the Láng and Szarvassy family, the manor of the Botkov and Kosztics family and, from a more recent period, the Chapel of the Virgin of Lourdes. The attraction for visitors is the romantic Danube coast with clean beaches and nature trail. From spring to autumn, they can also get to Lábatlan in Hungary. In Kravany, they also welcome cyclists, and the international Eurovelo 6 route leads through the village.
