The sub-Tatra village of Štrba, located at the southern foot of the High Tatras at an altitude of 829 meters, is one of the highest villages in Slovakia. From the village you will have a unique view of the panorama of the High Tatras in the north and the ridges and deep forests of the Low Tatras in the southern horizon. The border of the European watershed passes through its territory - the waters of the Váh River flow into the Black Sea, and the waters of the Poprad River flow into the Baltic Sea.

The sub-Tatra village of Štrba, located at the southern foot of the High Tatras at an altitude of 829 meters, is one of the highest villages in Slovakia. From the village you will have a unique view of the panorama of the High Tatras in the north and the ridges and deep forests of the Low Tatras in the southern horizon. Currently, 3,386 inhabitants live in Štrba and local parts. It is a modern village where youth blends with traditional customs. It is interesting that every day we can see women of the older generation in Štrbské folk costume. Next to modern residential houses we find original wooden houses and barns. In addition to traditional agricultural production, the village is experiencing a great expansion of tourism, tourism and recreation. The business network in the village is at a good level.

In the village there are several guesthouses, cottages, offering a wide range of accommodation and catering services. Private accommodation is at a very good level. The village does not lag behind in the field of culture, as evidenced by many events, folklore ensembles, general television broadcasting and Štrbské noviny.

The railway line Žilina - Košice and the main road East - West E 50 (state road II / 18) pass through the village. There is a good bus connection with the surrounding towns and villages. From Tatranská Štrba, the cog railway "zubačka" leads to Štrbské Pleso - a popular mountain resort in the High Tatras.

The convenient location of the village allows its visitors to use the vacation time for hiking and biking hiking, picking berries (outside the national parks), cross-country and downhill skiing in a beautiful environment and clean air. Štrba is ready to welcome even the most demanding visitors.
