And there are not many events in the village. The close cooperation of the municipality management with civic associations and interest organizations contributes to this. The traditional ones include majáles, Christmas markets, and exceptional ones include, for example, the charity event "On Wheels Against Cancer". It is a bike ride around the Žitavský luh nature reserve through several villages around the river Žitava and back to Michal nad Žitavou. The village was first mentioned in the 12th century and the inhabitants were already engaged in agriculture, viticulture and viticulture. This has not changed in principle to this day. In addition to good wine, however, it is worth seeing in the village a church from 1737, an Art Nouveau mansion from 1900, but also an old granary, which has been serving for more than 130 years.
