Tesárske Mlyňany was created by merging originally independent villages with its own history. Tesáre nad Žitavou and Mlyňany, which are among the oldest settlements in the region. The first preserved written records mention the existence of the settlements of Tazzar in 1075 and Malonian in 1209. Both names come from the craft orientation of their inhabitants. The most famous place in the village is the Mlyňany Arboretum, which was founded in 1892 by the Hungarian nobleman Dr. Štefan Ambrózy-Migazzi. The dominant feature of the arboretum is Ambrózy Manor. Other sought-after places include the municipal museum, which was founded in 2011, the Chapel of the Exaltation of St. Cross and Park Mons. Mgr. Július Gábriš, a local native who worked as an apostolic administrator of the Trnava diocese. There is a Štefan Moyses Primary School in the village, which is also attended by pupils from Viesky nad Žitavou, Slepčian and Choče. The village has two football pitches and is easily accessible due to the adjacent connection to the R1 Nitra - Banská Bystrica expressway. All previous mayors have significantly contributed to the development of the village. Since 1971, it has been Július Mečko, the appointed mayor Michal Solčiansky, Ľudovika Valkovičová, Alžbeta Šebová, the appointed mayor Ľubomír Benc and finally the current mayor Ing. Stefan Valkovic.
