It is bordered on the east by the foothills of Pohronský Inovec, on the northwest by the Tribeč mountain range and on the south by the edge of the Danube plain. The most important monument is the Church of the Divine Heart of Jesus, which was built in 1833 as a chapel and was gradually rebuilt to its present form. The oldest monuments of the village include the bell tower in the center of the village. The first Saturday in December has been dedicated to runners at the traditional Machulinská dvadsatka event since 1984. The main 20-kilometer track has a start and finish in the middle of the village. Part of the program is the annual arrival of St. Nicholas in a horse-drawn carriage. The village has built a complete infrastructure - sewerage, water, gas, roads, sidewalks, lighting, which included this modern village in the 21st century.
