Koválov is located ten kilometers from the district town of Senica and is adjacent to the spa village of Smrdáky. The dominant feature of the village is the Catholic Church of St. Ondrej, mentioned as early as 1561. In the middle of the 20th century it was completely rebuilt, only the tower remained original. However, the oldest monument is located behind the village. It is the Chapel of St. Anne from 1547 with rare sculptures of St. Joseph and St. Joachim from the end of the 18th century. At present, Koválov is a modern and developing village, it is gas-connected, it has built a municipal water supply system. In the village, the residents are served by a cultural house, a kindergarten, a primary school for the first grade, a playground or a gym. A retirement club is available for the elderly. New houses are being built here and the village thus maintains a stable population. They are associated in several associations - beekeeping, horticulture, hunting or firefighting.
