The first written mention comes from the year 1392, when the Hungarian king Sigismund donated the castle estate Holíč to Stibor of Stiborice, while the village of Prietržka, at that time divided into Česká Prietržka and Německá Prietržka, is located in this deed of gift. The village is characterized by the cultivation of vineyards, which shows the coat of arms of the village. The first reports of viticulture are from the 16th century. Several wine cellars have also been preserved from this period. The Rúbaniskový stream flows through Prietržka, the flow of which is regulated by a water reservoir located in the environment of Prietržtany vineyards. Among the dominants is the church of St. Rozálie, baroque bell tower, Prietržtian vineyards, Chapel of St. Urban and water reservoir Prietržka. The village lives a cultural and social life, which is taken care of by municipal organizations. Prietržka has a primary school with a kindergarten, a public water supply system, a culture house, a multifunctional playground with artificial grass and a playground.
