In addition to small floodplain vegetation in the valley is deforested. The area is dominated by brown earth floodplain soils. The village itself is located in the shallow valley of the Blava stream on the road that leads from Trnava through Špačince and Dolná Dubová to Kátlovice and from there north to Dechtice and to Dobra Voda. The center of the village lies at an altitude of about 180 m. In the Kátloviec area, the altitude is in the range of 168 to 233 m. The cadastre of the village has an area of 1172 ha and belongs to the border of the corn and beet growing area.
