R. 1330 Filip, Ján and Peter, sons of Mikuláš, son of Beza from the Vezekényi family, summon the Szécsi family with servants and two jobagions. Malá Seč itself is first documented in writing in 1355 as Zechde et altera Zechde (Upper and Lower Seč). According to some historians, the older settlement is Horná Seč and Dolná Seč developed in its area and became independent. In 1395, members of the Szecsei and Váradi families defended themselves against the local claims of Petr Cseh Lévai. In 1401, the village was occupied by the Archbishop of Esztergom, so the Szecsei and Váradi families disappeared from Tekovská County. Later, the village still became the property of the Lévai family, r. 1435 The village of Malú Seč is leased to Ján Hunyadi by the son of Petr Cesh Lévai (from the Sárai family). In 1506, Ladislav's grandson Sigismund regained the leased property.
