The village of Dobrohošť

The village lies between the old Danube riverbed and its newly built artificial canal, about 20 km south of Bratislava.

Access is possible along new roads from Bratislava, towards the border with Hungary, from the direction of Gabčíkov through the dam of the hydroelectric power plant, or by crossing the ferry from Šamorín.
With the damming of the Danube riverbed and the launch of the waterworks in 1992, life in our country and its surroundings has not changed much. However, we have become more attractive. Tourists from the surrounding larger cities come here especially in summer.
The region is increasingly sought after, mainly for water tourism and recreation, which is also reflected in investments in building infrastructure and expanding the water park.
At present, there is also a development towards improving and making life more pleasant for the inhabitants of the village, as this locality is becoming attractive also for permanent settlement. The construction of new family houses and an increasing number of inhabitants are experiencing a boom. Of course, this also requires the modernization of the municipality's infrastructure.
