The village of Kyselica

This village undoubtedly belongs to the very old settlements, because it is known from a document from 1205. In 1294 it is mentioned as Kyzelches, in 1296 Kessulche, in 1323 as Kyselica, in 1387 as Keselces. The village was part of the property of the Archbishopric of Esztergom, the inhabitants of the village enjoyed the benefits resulting from the position of primed peasants. The center of the archbishopric's property was the village of Vojka, which included other villages: Dobrohošť, Rohovce, Báč, etc.

This situation persisted for centuries, in 1852 the village was included in the jurisdiction of Bratislava County. It lost its independence in 1941, when it was annexed to the village of Vojka.
In 1989, it was separated from the village of Vojka and was annexed to the village of Rohovce. In 1993, the village became independent and regained its cadastral territory. It is mentioned several times in the documents, e.g. in 1245, 1345 and 1463.
In 1898, the church of St. Rosalie was built in Kyselice to commemorate the plague in 1831. At that time, the village had 101 houses and 619 inhabitants. In 1938, with the help of the then presidential office of the Czechoslovak Republic, the inhabitants built a cultural house. This served as a cultural stand of the local amateur theater, but also as a primary school until 1964. At present, the Municipal Office is located in it.
Due to war events and changes in state borders, the development of the village slowed down greatly in 1918 to 1950, the population decreased from 612 to 210. In subsequent years, this trend stopped, but due to the construction of the waterworks Gabčíkovo population from 263 in 1970 fell to 122 in 1990.

The village became independent on July 1, 1993. It is a legal duty and at the same time an important feature of the municipality's independence to adopt its own symbols: coat of arms, flag and seal. Based on the decision of the municipal council, the symbols of the village Kyselica were created, approved and consecrated in 2005, on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the first written mention of the village.
Since in the past Kyselica was part of the Vojkanska stool, therefore it did not have its own common coat of arms, it was necessary to create a new coat of arms together with the general flag and seal. The coat of arms was created on the basis of the first known seal of the village from 1852. The symbols of the coat of arms are stored according to the principles of heraldry on a blue shield: a wreath of roses in the upper half and an armored armored with a saber. Blue is the color of the clear sky. The armed arm symbolizes the history, free, aristocratic origin of the village and the performance of military duties. It is derived from the coat of arms of the original known inhabitants of the village - the Cséfalvay family, the Kajdacsy family and the Bittó family. The wreath above the armed arm is a symbol of the patron saint of the village, Saint Rosalie of Palermo. The wreath of roses on the coat of arms is an exact copy of the wreath from the altarpiece of the local church of St. Rosalie.
