The seal of our village, dating from the second half of the 19th century, tells us about the life of our ancestors. Water, as a characteristic force of the Rye Island, significantly influenced the daily activities of the locals. The inhabitants of the village were mainly engaged in cattle breeding and tillage. The main part of the seal consists of a plow and arable land. It should be added, however, that the frequent floods and swampy areas maintained by the Danube did not make it easier for farmers to work. (Wetlands and tributaries were drained only later.) The third element of the seal is the network, respectively the hill, which speaks of the relationship between Rohovčany and the Danube. The refined rye island fishing also fed the inhabitants of our village.
