Horné Topoľníky was established in the district of Topoľníky on a plot of land, which in the 13th century King Belo IV. donated to the Bratislava Chapter and the postman. Ladislav IV. in r. 1277 confirmed the said donation. In the oldest sources, the village is first mentioned in 1451. The landowners had a very lucrative place here, where hunts were hunted. In the 16th century, the village was rented by aristocratic families, in the 17th century by the Pálffy family.
