The village of Trstice is located in Western Slovakia, in the central part of the Danube plain. The Little Danube flows on the western side of the village, while Čierna Voda flows to the north and east. The history of the village was greatly influenced by the passing rivers and swamps, which on the one hand protected and provided food, but on the other hand caused frequent floods and thus endangered the lives of the population and caused great damage. In terms of administrative division, the village belongs to the Galant district. Its area measures 2668.5 ha.
