The village of Bílkove Humence

The village of Bílkove Humence was founded only after the First World War. war. Most sources state the year of origin of 1920, but there are also those who claim that this happened only in 1926 and the 1930s, respectively. It is assumed that the village was inhabited as early as Great Moravian times.

Among the largest landowners who owned the village and its extensive area were the Cobors, Zičiovci, Hohenlohovci, but also others, whom we do not mention because after the anti-Habsburg uprisings, the owners of castles and manors often changed - one confiscated property, the other gave, some their they sold, others bought them again, there were simply large transfers of ownership. At the beginning of the 19th century, Count Pálfi's family bought Lakšárska Nová Ves and, together with it, Bílek's Humence.

The fact that the Pálfi family became owners not only of Lakšárská Nová Ves but also of Bilkovy Humeniec meant that from the beginning of the 19th century the fate and development of Bilkovy Humeniec as a serf village in economic terms was more dependent on Lakšárská Nová Ves than from Borský Svätý Mikuláš, although in administrative and political terms, Bílek's Humence remained affiliated with Borský Svätý Mikuláš.

There is the first written mention of Lakšárská Nová Ves from 1392. During the Rákoci uprising, the imperial army occupied Lakšárská Nová Ves, Mikulášov, Bílek Humence and Šišoláky and severely damaged them. Even more, these four Pálfi villains suffered during the Prussian-Austrian war in 1869. At that time, more than 200 houses burned down in Lakšárská Nová Ves alone. At the places where Bílkové Humence is located today, at the end of the 18th century, or at the beginning of the 19th century, there were only farmhouses, barns and other farm buildings, first for landowners. About 535 of the 537 inhabitants subscribed to the Roman Catholic religion.

The church in the village was built in 1898. It is actually a larger chapel in the neoclassical style with a romanticizing facade, topped by a low massive tower, which rests on the cantilevered arcade of the gable. The church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary of the Rosary. In the ecclesiastical administrative point of view, Bílek's Humence is a branch of the Roman Catholic parish of Lakšárska Nová Ves. There are several memorial crosses in front of the village and in it. The religious affiliation of the inhabitants of the village has not been studied in the last fifty years. Today, the church is still in use and the dean Mgr. Ladislav Labo.
The beginnings of the village of Bílkove Humence state that it was created by independence from the village of Borský Mikuláš. The origin of the settlement in Great Moravia is certain, as well as the fact that it was established in the Borský Mikuláš district. According to the local administration, the settlement was founded by a certain Gočál. Several families named Bilka allegedly moved to it from Moravia, after whom it got its present name. The founder of Gočala is associated with the name of the part of the village called Gočála. The settlement was characterized by the existence of numerous small humians. This gave rise to the name Bílkove Humence.
As early as 1828, it is stated that there were already 19 houses with 288 inhabitants in the village. In 1898, a neoclassical chapel of the Virgin Mary of the Rosary was built. Bílek's Humence as a municipality with its own administration is still documented in 1914 (stamp with the text POSZONY VARMEGYE BILKAUDVAR KÖZSEG * 1914 *
