The village is first mentioned in 1394 as part of the Branč estate. The tax census from 1452 records 21 settlements in Častkov, in 1617 it was 8 whole, 16 half and 2 quarter settlements. In 1715, when they are mentioned in Častkov's vineyards, the village consists of 32 households, but already in 1752 there were 117 families, which are mostly of the Evangelical religion. The village was electrified in 1937. It had the largest population in 1940, when 833 people lived in Častkov.
