The village is connected to bike paths to the Skalické mountains.
The village has its coat of arms and its flag. It has 377 inhabitants after the census of inhabitants, houses and flats in 2011. It is one of the oldest municipalities in the Skalický district. The written mention of the village is not 100% verified from 1262, because the history extends to the territory of the current town of Hlohovec and subsequently to the current village of Podbranč.
The area of the cadastre of the village is 1779 ha. The village borders the cadastres of Koválovec, Radošovce, Lopašov, Častkov, Chvojnica, Radějov - Czech Republic and the mountains with Skalica.
In the village there is a municipal office, shop, inn, culture house, sports field, fire station, library, Roman Catholic church, parish office, wood factory. The quiet environment of meadows and mountains in the cadastre allows life for a large number of animals, which has an indescribable beauty, but it must be said that the Daniel Raková Chropov Hunting Society also has a great deal of credit for this with its sacrificial approach.
