Vajnory is a part of Bratislava. They are located below the Little Carpathians at an altitude of 132-133 m above sea level, on an area of 13.5 km2 and have 5,356 inhabitants (as of 31 December 2013). Due to its size and population, it is one of the smaller parts of the capital of Slovakia. Administratively, they are part of the Bratislava III district.

Vajnory lies on the border of the National Nature Reserve Šúr, which is included in the European protected network Natura 2000. The northern part of the area is part of the Protected Landscape Area of the Little Carpathians. Near the town there are Vajnorské lakes, a large water area with clear water, which in recent years has become a swimming center for Bratislava residents. Vajnory is part of the Malokarpatska Wine Route and the Vajnor Center has been declared a monument zone since 1992. However, the vagrants are rightly proud of their rich history, the distinctive beauty of folk art and the customs that have been preserved and developed here to this day.
