Bohdanovce nad Trnavou was known mainly for its theatrical tradition. The village is known for folk embroidery and folk costumes, which represent a specific variant of West Slovak folk costume. At present, the tradition is maintained by the local folklore singing ensemble Žofia, founded in 2000. The group's repertoire consists of folk songs from the West Slovak region.
