The oldest known written document about our village dates from 1251 and we know from the professional literature about it that it was preserved in a transcript from 1271 in the form of a record in the regnikolar record of the credible place of the Veszprím Chapter (chapters and monasteries performed here in the 18th century as public notaries, issued public transcripts of documents brought to the population, confirmed private contracts on change of ownership, etc.)
