The village of Farná lies on the right bank of the river Hron in the Dolnohronská lowland. The village stretches between the hills bordering the Kvetnianka stream, in the middle of the ring formed by the towns of Levice, Nové Zámky, Komárno, Štúrovo, Šahy. The village is part of the Association of Municipalities of the Kvetnianka Microregion, which consists of the municipalities of Farná, Kuraľany, Nýrovce and Veľké Ludince, as well as the Association of Municipalities of the Dolnohron Region. As it follows from historical sources - the rich tradition in Farná has the cultivation of grapes, which the locals have preserved to this day.
