The area of the village was inhabited in prehistoric times. It is a settlement with fluted ceramics from the Eneolithic period, the settlement of the North Pannonian culture dates from the Early Bronze Age. In the 1970s, during excavation work before the construction of the Schoeller distillery, a stone ax and a stone hammer from the Stone Age were found, as well as 26 pieces of clay rings.
