In the Kozároviec cadastre, in the Middle Ages, there were now extinct villages called Čitáre, Hrádze, Korlat and Selce. Čitáre (Štitáre) was located southwest of Kozároviec. Their name has been preserved in the district name Čitáre. The first mention of them is in a document dated 1298. They are mentioned here as the possessio Chatar, belonging to Corradino, son of Corrada. In 1302, a road called Urrech leading to Čitár (Chithar) is mentioned. The extinct village of Hrádze (Graduch) lay, either on the site of the Great Moravian fortified settlement in the location of Hrádze, or below it. A description of its borders dates from 1302. In 1328, it is mentioned that it was separated from the Korošian district. Korlat was located south of Kozároviec. During the throwing of the village of Hrádek in 1302, it is mentioned that it lay on the territory of Korlat (iuxta terram Corolau). Mortunus, son of Pyonya, a peasant from Korlat (nobilis de Corlau), is also mentioned here. The territory of Seliec (terra Celiza) is first mentioned in 1209, when they were confirmed as the property of the Hronskoňadadice abbey by Innocent III. The name Selce can be associated with the district name Slance, which occurs in the cadastre of Kozároviec and Volkoviec.
