The village of Lula is located at an altitude of 180 m above sea level, in the Danubian lowlands on the Hronská plateau, 10.5 km to the SE of Vrábeľ. It is documented for the first time in 1226 (Lyvla), also mentioned r. 1262, when it was bought by Count Ondrej, lord of the Bana na Považí castle from Ladislav of Ľula. The village also had a classicist manor from the early 19th century and a neoclassical manor from the end of the 19th century. In r. 1938 - 1945 the village was annexed to Hungary. In the local cemetery there is the Marian chapel dedicated to St. Mary with a historic facade, orig. renes. building, during the 18th century. and at the end of the 19th century. rebuilt. It has been mentioned since 1561, which, however, is much older according to written records. In r. 1630 was deserted and r. 1718 together with Malá žula, belonged to the Trnava seminary. A single-nave space with a semicircular presbytery vaulted with a conch, the nave has a barrel vault. Facades divided by pilasters. The façade ending with a stepped gable has a rectangular entrance in the central axis inserted between two half-pillars with a pseudo-Roman. heads on which the semicircular archivolt rests. There is a receding arch frieze on the gable. The bell tower was once a wooden wooden house from the 20th century. with a bell from r. 1772, cast in Trnava.
