The village lies in the Danubian Lowland in the central part of Žitný ostrov. It is first mentioned under the name Kysfeuldi in 1322. It was an aristocratic village until the middle. 19th century. The Nagy aristocratic family was one of the most important families who owned property here. The area was fertile with good pastures. The only ecclesiastical monument in the village is currently a stone statue of a pieta from 1814. In 1990, the village became independent from the village of Orechová Potôň.

The cadastre of the village consists of three parts: Vieska, Blatná Lúka and Pőteho osada. The village is one of the typical villages of Žitný ostrov, in which people of mostly Hungarian nationality live.

The coat of arms of the village of Vieska, based on a historical model, has the following form:

in the green shield, a gold-armored arm, armed with a silver saber, surmounted by a gold pearl, closed with a cross arch, and a crown inlaid with red velvet.

The flag of the village of Vieska consists of seven longitudinal stripes in green, yellow, white, red, white, yellow and green.
