It is located in the southern part of the city and has its own cadastral area. It lies in the geomorphological part of Trnavská tabula, between the left bank of the river Trnávka and the 1st class road no. 51. It is the only rural part of Trnava.
The inhabitants are served by the Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity from 1657, a primary school with a kindergarten, a culture house and a post office. There is also a chapel of St. Mary Magdalene from 1630.
