Piešťany is not only a city of world-famous spas. They are also a sought-after city of social life, culture and an important center of sports. The first contact with the city is the eyes. There is something to look at in Piešťany. Many Slovak artists chose them as their place of rest. In the parks, on the banks of the Váh, walking along the Colonnade Bridge, they look for peace and inspiration. In 1802 he allegedly visited Piešťany and Beethoven. Even today, the city is open to all art admirers. The classical music of the oldest Piešťany music festival has been heard here for over 60 years. Popular are the Piešťany Organ Days and the Opening of the Summer Spa Season. Piešťany summer is a time of good mood thanks to festivals and events such as the Grape festival, Car at Tuning Party, Piešťany Golden Ribbons and, last but not least, thanks to the Country Lodenica festival. The Victoria Regia flower arranging competitions with an allegorical procession and the Statue of Piešťany Parks will delight the guests. Since 2006, the city has hosted the popular international film festival Cinematik, but the Astrofilm and Eurotour festivals are also very popular. Other events are also known, such as the city music CityFest, which regularly opens the summer festival season, or the SeptemberFest beer festival. Piešťany is undoubtedly a city of sports.
