The village of Čifáre lies in the northern part of the Pohronská Uplands in the valley of the Telinský brook. The hilly area consists of younger Tertiary clays, sands and gravels with dust loess. It is mostly deforested, in the southeast and northwest are the remains of an oak forest. It has brown earth and black earth soils. In the east of the area there is a water reservoir on an area of 16 ha. The altitude of the village in its center is 175 m, in its area is 170 - 240 m.
