Sometime in the 60s-70s. In the years of the last century, a certain author published a legend about Chyndice. She allegedly talked about the fact that the founders of Chyndice were two Hindi brothers, who shared the land on which they were settled and thus divided the village into Malé and Veľké Chyndice. The author did not state where the Hindus came from. He didn't even deal with where they derived their name from. However, the legend did not take hold very well, because even the Chyndians themselves did not believe it.
