The Lower Nitra village of Vinodol is already mentioned in the ancient Zobor Charter from 1113. Over time, the village was the property of the famous Benedictine monastery in Hronský Beňadik, the monastery in Bzovik, peasant families and one of the most important noble families in Hungary - Grasalkovič family. The history of the village was also affected by the expansion of the Turks in Lower Nitra, especially in the 17th century.
