This important cultural and social event has been taking place in Piešťany every year without a break since 1956. The Piešťany Festival is the second oldest music festival in our modern history. The initiator and founder of the festival was prof. Eugen Suchoň, who together with his colleagues raised him to a top European level in the first years of his existence. Over the course of six decades, the most important domestic and foreign ensembles and excellent vocal and instrumental soloists performed on it.
