Craft production reached a really great boom and around 15 guilds operated in the town, the bootmakers' guild and the most famous furriers' guild survived the longest. Today's Mošovce can be characterized as an important recreational area with many attractions. Among the architectural monuments, the rococo classicist mansion from the second half of the 18th century with a large English park deserves attention. Other points of interest in the village are: the memorial site of Ján Kollár's birthplace, a neo-Gothic church built on the site of an old church with a valuable altar, an Evangelical church from 1784, a mausoleum with a craft museum and an art nouveau greenhouse from 1800. Mošovce has a truly unique environment. The complex of historical alleys and greenery creates an aesthetically impressive mosaic-like divided landscape, sensitively connected to the forest complexes of Veľká Fatra. This mountain range is one of the most tourist-attractive mountain ranges in Slovakia. Limestones and dolomites of fantastic shapes, indescribable beauty of Gaderská, Blatnická and other valleys attract admirers of natural beauty from far and wide.

Mošovce gave the Slovak nation many important personalities, the most famous of whom are music composer and teacher Frico Kafenda (1883-1963), writer Anna Lacková-Zora (1899-1988), literary critic, historian and poet Štefan Krčméry (1892-1955), baroque dramatist Jur Tesák Mošovský, church dignitary and Slovak religious writer whose works belong to the period of humanism, or the founder of the volunteer fire brigade in Slovakia, Miloslav Schmidt. The most important of the natives is the great poet of the Slavs, philosopher and evangelical preacher Ján Kollár (1793-1852), who immortalized at least two national literatures with his poetic composition Glory's daughter. Slávý důr had an effect on the then and later generations of nationalists and patriots as a starting point and a motive at the same time. In the original and in translations, it penetrated the wider Slavic and non-Slavic world and made its creator famous forever.

The immediate vicinity of the village of Mošovce offers interesting places to visit:
