The basic idea for the creation of the micro-region was the development of social, cultural, economic and economic life. The history of the territory of the municipalities of the micro-region dates back to the Neolithic, which is revealed by archaeological finds. The villages were settled in approximately the same historical period, their mutual proximity predestined them to the emergence of approximately the same cultural traditions. The value of the cultural heritage of this area is determined by the number of well-established cultural monuments, the preservation of cultural and spiritual traditions and gene pool-valuable natural sites, representing a rich potential in terms of tourism. One of the main activities of the micro-region in this area was the construction of a cycle route.
