The history of the tower goes back to 1727, it was built at the initiative of Mikuláš Koháry. The original building burned down, but another one replaced it in 1888. Today, the field base of the Štiavnické vrchy Protected Area Administration is located here, as well as the Sitno exhibition as part of the educational trail. The view to all sides of the world is unrepeatable and with good visibility allows you to see tens to hundreds of kilometers.
An innovative idea is to identify points of interest with infotainments that serve visitors to obtain quick information. Point of interest, from English Point Of Interest (POI), we understand as a tourist or otherwise interesting place.
