POI 525 Church of the Transfiguration

Permission to build a church was granted in 1968. The church was consecrated on September 13, 1970. The authors of the timeless architecture of the church are: Ing. Jan Holbik, Ing. Ján Jendželovský with his wife Ing. Alicou, Ing. Ján Šimo-Svrček and Vladimír Záborský. The church has one of the highest quality organs (from 1973) in the Banská Bystrica diocese. It has 1724 whistles and a pneumatic pressure tract. The church was consecrated by the diocesan Bishop of Banská Bystrica, Rudolf Baláž, on April 17, 2005.
