POI 615 Church of St. James

You must log in to save a POI scan.

The history dates back to the period shortly before 1239, when the Franciscans settled in Trnava. It is assumed that the first brothers settled at the Lower Gate (around today's Church of St. Helena), but soon moved to the Church of St. James at the West Gate of the city, where there was previously a Benedictine abbey.
